The very first Month of RuneScape 3 by the Numbers

It's been more than one month since RuneScape was updated to RuneScape 3 -- an overhaul of the graphics and mechanics but remains the same core of the same game.  runescape wiki What has it done in that month? Jagex's team has put together some numbers that look very positive. In the last 30 days 100,000 players have activated old accounts, and 300,000 players have created new accounts to play the game.

It is quite amazing that 600,000 hours of gameplay are recorded every day on all accounts. This includes new, existing, and activated accounts. Since the game's debut event, players have killed 60 million hostile soldiers and collected 1 billion Divine Tears (remnants of a dead god whose death kicked off the current situation). While one month is too early to call success or failure, it's a signal that even the older games on the market still have a lot of life left in them.

Jagex also posted video about the brand new Nightmare Zone. This is content is available for Old School RuneScape, but isn't coming to RuneScape 3 itself. We have embedded the video below.
